The beautiful Dominican Republic

Hi all!❤️

After a long time, I’m back again with a blogpost about the amazing Dominican Republic, where I was last April?
Together with Godomrepbenelux and a group of 3 other bloggers, (authentic chica, Dutch blogger on the move and little wander book) and a photographer ( joyce van Galen) and what a great trip it was! ??
I never been to the Dominican Republic, but visiting the Carribean was high on my wishlist! And I haven’t been dissapointed? It’s really everything you think it is and better? white beaches, palmtrees, blue water and colorful places! And ofcourse delicious food❤️
I Will show you the beautiful places we visited and hope (and think?) you Will love it as much as I do!
On the first day we arrived, after a long flight with air Europa, at the DR and at 8 pm we arrived at our first stay, the amazing casa de Campo ? This was such a beautiful, tropical place. Very luxury and big! Even the kardasians love it here? That has to say something?
We got each our own golfcars to drive around at the resort! That was so fun! Hahah
On the first day, we stayed at the resort. But we still did enough, because it’s so big! Went to the pool and the beach and at night ate delicious mexican food at la cantina. Located at Altos de Chavón, a replica of an 16 century village! Loved it! And we got a beautiful sunset also?

*Casa de campo pics, of the first day*

After another amazing night (the beds are great and the rooms cool?) and delicious breakfast, we made a trip to the beautiful and tropical Saona Island! We went with a speedboat! That was such fun? we where drinking out of coconuts and made pics on the beach and in front of the lovely colored houses?

* Saona island*

After the beach visit we went on our way, to chic punta cana an adults only resort, where we stayed in a massive and luxury mansion?? each our own room with jacuzzi and a private swimmingpool at the centre of the mansion! And our own butler! What an experience!
That night whe’re having diner at the Gastronomy room, at the resort, where whe’re spoiled with an 8 courses diner, influenced by different countries. Very delicious!

The next day (again the bed an room are amazing!) we have a busy day ahaid, on which we go surfing (I skipped this because of a stomach ache) and drink pinacolada out of pineapples at Macao surf camp and go horse riding on the beach, followed by a another delicious lunch?
After the lunch we go to Montaña Redonda! After a bumby ride we arrive on top of the mountain and all take a swing!? what a view and experience ?
That night we have diner at the resort and after that we watch a show and I was pulled on stage for a striptease?? terrible! Hahaha
But a nice memorie? can laugh about it now?

*Macao beach and Montaña Redonda*

The next day we go to Scape park, where we visit a blue lagoon Hoyo Azul and go ziplining (very high and fast?)

*Hoyo Azul*

After that we drive to the beautiful old town Santo Domingo, where we stay at the historical Hostal Nicolás de Ovando. A beautiful and authentic hotel, located in the centre of the collonial erea and that night we eat in the lovely centre of Santo Domingo at Pat’e Palo. After another good night sleep, we visit the beautiful old village on a bike and take a lot of pics?

*Santo Domingo*

After lunch we go on a 3 hours drive to samaná and have mojito’d and diner and take pics at the beach of Las Terrenas? Before we go to our next luxury resort The Bannister Hotel and Yacht club.

*Las Terrenas beach*

Again the beds are amazing! And after breakfast we visit the beautiful waterfall Cascada Limon After an one hour hike, we arrive at this beautiful location? And take a refreshing dive, before we hike back and have a delicious lunch?? After that we drive to Playa Rincon, a beautiful beach?
And that night we have diner and take sunset shots, at the resort.

*Waterfall Cascada limon, laya Rincon and The Bannister*

Before we fly home, we have some time to visit Playa Coson and have lunch at restaurant Luis, where we have our last and most delicious pina colada?
After this final stop, we drive to the AirPort, from where we fly back with Air Europe✈️

I arrived back home, with 6 pounds extra and a terrible jetlag?? But most of all, amazing memories and new friends❤️ The Dominican Republic surprised me in many ways! Thought it’s all about white beaches and palmtrees (which ofcourse isn’t bad also?) but has so much more to offer! And hope that I have showed you that with my blog?

I hoped you enjoyed reading and who knows, I inspired you to visit the beautiful Dominican Republic?☀️

Djarling hair.

Hi all,

I want to share with you, the wonderful experience I had at YellSL, the hair salon, of Mariëlle Bastiaansen, who you might know from tv, because she was a tv hairdresser also. But now she runs her own hair salon, in Breda.

I have had hair weaving for years now and I have been looking for good hair and not too expencive. The cheaper hair, does look great when you buy it, but after you wash it, it looks and feels like rope or something… Not what I want!

Not so long ago, I heard about Djarling hair for the first time and it made me curious. So as I wanted a new weave and a good one, i did some research online and that’s how i found Mariëlle. From the beginning of 2017 she is the official destribitur of Djarling, in The Netherlands and Belgium. Al the good reviews and stories online, made me decide to go to Breda and I am so happy i did! First of all, the salon is so beautiful! And Mariëlle is very sweet:) She picked the colors for my hair and after that, her college made tiny braids in my hair and stitched the hair to the braids. The result is beautiful long hair, in exact my hair colors. You really don’t see that it’s in there! So happy with it! And yes I’ve washed it a couple of times already and it still feels and looks amazing!

As there’s a lot of fake hair going around, who claime to be Djarling, Mariëlle has now labels on the hair. So when you buy it, you can see that it’s original Djarling hair.

So what more can I say? I haven’t been so happy with my hair in years! Quality is so good and the price is good also. If you’re thinking about getting your hair longer, or just to make it fuller with hair weaving, i would highly recommend Djarling hair! I never want anything else anymore! ;) And ofcourse, if you have a hair salon and thinking about starting with hair weaving from Djarling, you can always contact Mariëlle, for more information!

Hotel Nassau Breda

Hi all!

In this post, i’m gonna tell you all about my wonderful stay, at Hotel Nassau Breda and share pictures of my stay over there.

It truly was an amazing visit! We (me, my mom and son) had the Panoramic Suite, with a great view and a wonderful bathroom and bed!

We went to Breda with the train. Sometimes we like to do that. We walked from the station, to the hotel. That was about 15 minutes. Did I say, it was the hottest day of the year! When we arrived in the hotel, we really where overwelmed by all the beautiful details! The hotel is in a monumental building and it’s an old convent. The breakfast room is at the choir in the chapel and is the most beautiful breakfast room I’ve ever seen;) After exploring Breda for a moment, and having a mojito, we had diner at Liefdesgesticht, the hotel Restaurant. This was a delicious and surprising diner!

The hotel room was besides beautiful, very cool, what was very welcome on This hot day;) We were welcomed with champagne! I also want to mention the staff, who were so friendly and really helpful:) We had an amazing visit in Breda and would love to visit the hotel again, in the future! It really was amazing!

Here are the pictures of my stay in the Hotel. Hope you enjoy! I did;)

Maurice Le Noir Presents: Untitled (a conflict with concretism)

Hi all!

Yesterday evening, I went to the play of my dear friend, Loveday Smith, who is the actor, writer and composer of the piece, Maurice Le Noir Presents: Untitled (a conflict with concretism).
It really was a great show and I’m very proud of her! It was a very exciting and funny piece of art. With a twist, I didn’t see coming;)
All I can say is, go check it out, it’s worth it!
If you go to the link, you’ll see some information about the piece and you can buy a ticket, for only 11 euro’s.
Here are some great pictures of the show (made by Bas Niemans)
Hop to see you at the Toon Amsterdam!

Hi all!

Last Saturday night I had a delicious diner at Wagamama, in Amsterdam, Amstelstraat 8.
I’ll show you some pics of the diner we had and the desert. It really was great! I took my friend Jennifer, from By Jen and we had a wonderful evening!
Food tasted amazing and the staff was very friendly! And diner is served quickly;)
Wagamama, is an Asian food restaurant. It has an open kitchen, so you can see how the food is prepared.
If you want to see more, you can take a look at the vlog, that Jennifer made! (In Dutch)
We had a lot of different things, like scampi’s and a curry and beef teriyaki and more and not to forget delcious deserts, with chocolat cake and cheesecake. ;)
On top of all, I can give away 5 diners for two, in the soon to be open Wagamama in Rotterdam! How cool is that? Before the restaurant opens, you get the change to have a preview diner, before it officialy opens! I wright more about it on my Instagram and Facebook.
Here you have the pictures of the evening.
Till next time!

Festival-Dutch style

Hi everyone!

A week ago Summer has started, but it has been terrible weather… Really want the sun to come back! And I think I’m not speaking for myself alone;)
Anyhow, i did a Dutch festival look. You can put your bag and jacket in the locker and keep the cute and very handy smartphone case, from BYBI with you. I really think it’s ideal, because you can take it with you easily, because of the chain, that you can take of also. But you can just hang it around your neck and your phone and cards can come with you and have a very secure place, because it’s very solid. And the case is made by real, high quality leather. Don’t have to say, that i really liked what i saw and felt, when i saw the case for the first time! Take a look at their site, because they have a lot of pretty cases, in different materials and prices.
The day i shot this look, it was sunny in the morning, so this week that was a very rare moment.. haha
Well till next time and feel free to leave a comment! Do you like the look?

Cute little town and pancakes

Hi all,

Today I want to share with you a village, where me and my family have been coming for 30 years now.. There’s a cute and good pancake restaurant, called “De witte swaen”. Don’t have to tell you my son loves this place and it was his idea to go there;)
Besides that restaurant, the old village is really beautiful, with a lot of characteristic, old farm houses. Smaller ones, but also big ones. Would’t mind living there!!
The place is calles “Broek in Waterland” and if you’re in the neighborhood, I can really recommend, to make a visit and have some pancakes too;)
I took pictures, to share with you, so you can get an idea and feeling about the place..
Enjoy and till next time!
